The Role of Sensitivity Analysis in Ecological Modelling
This work illustrates available best practices to run a sensitivity analysis for ecological models. The properties of recommended methods and their range of application are illustrated by applying the sensitivity analysis techniques to two test cases. The first one is a classic Lotka-Volterra model, while the second one is a study on a fish population dynamics. Both quantitative and qualitative approaches are applied and the differences between local and global techniques are highlighted by using the test cases.
