Self-Irradiation Effects on PuTGa5 Superconductors

We report on the evolution of superconductivity in the PuCo1¡xRhxGa5 system (x =0, 0.5, 0.9, 1) as a function of the self-radiation damages induced by the Pu alpha-decay. We observe a faster decrease of the critical temperature with ageing in PuRhGa5 than in PuCoGa5, that we correlate to the different values of the coherence length in the respective compounds.
