Identification of a Composite Frame From a Pseudodynamic Test
This paper describes an accurate technique used to identify the stiffness matrix of a steel concrete
composite frame. The identification of the stiffness matrix is based on the available data of a
pseudodynamic test. A non-linear model including the modelling of systematic measurement errors and
dissipative forces is proposed. The model is successfully fitted to the experimental data through weighted least squares. A finite element model of this structure was previously developed and updated using experimental modal data. The comparison of the elements of the obtained stiffness matrix with those of the finite element model reveals a good agreement of both models.
