Computer Program on DRIS, MDRIS and CND - Bivariate and Multivariate analyses tools for monitoring the soil and plant nutrient imbalances

cover
Intensive cropping system and indiscriminate use of unbalanced fertilizers aggravates not only the nutrient deficiencies in the soil and plant, but also nutrient imbalances in the crop, which in turn leads to other biotic and abiotic stresses to limit the crop production and deteriorates the soil health. The need of the day is to develop suitable management strategies to diagnose the cause of the nutrient imbalances and relatively visible deficiencies in the crop and the soil. In this context the DRIS and CND nutrient imbalance diagnostic models are most effective tools to serve this purpose. The main limitation of these analyses are the robust computational steps, which may be impossible to perform without the computer software support, when involves more than 4-5 variables. Hence to facilitate the researchers on soil science, computer programs in Visual FOXPRO 6.0 for DRIS and CND are presented in this book along with its subsequent algorithm and proper guidelines
