Accreditation of Reference Material Producers - What Does it Mean to Laboratories?
The significance of accreditation of reference material (RMs) producers for users is described. Factors influcencing the technical competence of RM producers are given and the position of the Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements (IRMM): an Institute of the European Commission's Joint Research Centre is described.
