, providing relevant, validated and independent information on Research, Solar cell Production and Market Implementation of Photovoltaics. The third Edition of the widened its view to the enlarged European Union as well as the new player China. This report may well underpin the process of overcoming some major obstacles for the implementation of photovoltaics, such as weak environmental consciousness amongst the general public; low representation of environmental issues in national government energy policies, unfavourable investment conditions and socio-economic circumstances and lack of broadly targeted education and information campaigns.
