Proceedings of the International Workshop on "The Application of High Intensity Positron Beam Techniques and Digital Lifetime Positron Spectroscopy in Material Science", Bergen (NL), 17-18 November 2005

The Joint Research Centre (JRC), Institute for Energy in Petten organized the International Scientific Workshop on The application of high intensity positron beam techniques and digital lifetime positron spectroscopy in material science, 17-18.November 2005, Bergen, The Netherlands. This scientific event has been organised in frame of exploratory research project called HIPOS (High Intensity Positron Beam). The workshop was dedicated to scientific presentations regarding the current status of positron techniques (positron beams, positron microscopy, digital lifetime systems) and future needs of JRC. The review of first pre-design for positrons generator at High Flux Reactor (HFR) Petten was done in view of the future research needs. Presentations regarding first outcomes of HIPOS were included.
