Electronic Nose Applied to Automotive Fuel Qualification
The paper presents primary results of eNose system to classification of different types of gasoline, heating oil and diesel oil. Additionally system can indicate exceeding level of one or few volatile organic compounds that are often met in fuels.
Measurements were carried out using gas measurement system based on thick film semiconductor sensors matrix. Obtained results prove that it is possible to develop systems, based on semiconductor sensors and eNose approach that can be use for the purpose of screening tests of fuel quality.
