dc.description.abstractIn this paper, we describe the implementation of a new source option in the Monte Carlo code MCNP-PoliMi. The code can be used to simulate time correlation measurements with neutrons and photons in plastic scintillation detectors. The new source describes the emission of neutrons and gamma rays from an Am-Li (alpha, n) source. The simulations performed with the modified MCNP-PoliMi code are compared to corresponding measurements, and the reasons for disagreement are identified and discussed.en_GB
