There is international consensus that for the various Advanced Reactor Concepts ARCs) design and operational safety goals and risk assessment review frameworks shall be developed. Objective of this paper is to screen information available from different countries / organisations on such efforts as far as they consider PSA or specific probabilistic evaluations. In general, compared to the many ongoing ARCs design engineering activities, PSA work seems sparse. Therefore, published statements on significantly lower risk levels achieved by ARCs are at least not verifiable. Specifically for Gen-IV, it is suggested to establish specific international information exchange platforms for probabilistic safety evaluations.
