Thermophysical Characterization of Nitrides - Preliminary Results
Nitride and carbide nuclear fuels receive renewed interest worldwide since the beginning of the Generation IV initiative. In ITU, design and interpretation of experiments, along with characterization of both fresh and irradiated nitride fuels have been resumed [1]. Both modeling and experimental activities are included in this effort. This paper presents an overview of experimental results obtained from the first investigation campaigns.
