Proficiency Testing Workshop - a Key Triennial Event
Following the success of their previous workshops, the EURACHEM Proficiency Testing Working Group organised the 5th Workshop on Proficiency Testing in Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology and Laboratory Medicine which took place in Portoroz, Slovenia in September 2005. he workshop was organised in association with EQALM and CITAC. One hundred and twenty delegates from twenty eight different countries were attending the workshop. Many key issues continue to face PT/EQA providers – to be accredited or not, how and when to incorporate measurement uncertainty, are similar schemes throughout the world comparable, can modern technology change the way that PT/EQA is conducted – are just a few of the topics that were presented and thoroughly discussed at the workshop.
