GIS e GI Science: Innovazioni Disciplinari e Comunita' Scientifica
The article reflects on the evolution that has taken place over the last 10 years from the close box of GI Systems to the open framework of GI infrastructures and GI Science, the latter being characterized by a strong degree of multi-disciplinarity to address the many research challenges posed.
