Proceedings of the 12th MARS PAC Annual Conference, Toulouse 2006, "Geographical Information in support of the Common Agricultural Policy"

This conference, jointly organised between the MARS PAC Project of the joint Research Centre in ISPRA and the new "Single Payment Agency¿ (Agence Unique de Paiement, AUP) of the French Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, covered the Control with Remote sensing Activities as well as the roles of Land Parcel Identification Systems (LPIS or APIS) and ortho-images in all the CAP management and control procedures. The program was structured into 2 days of plenary sessions (Monday 27th and Wednesday 29th) and one day (Tuesday 28th) with parallel sessions, including a restricted session for National/regional Administrations. Over 320 persons from over 30 countries attended. The presentations have been made available on line, and a conference proceedings produced based upon a shortlist of 12 presentations chosen by a peer-review committee, made up of three Professors (Toulouse, Lisbon, Warsaw), two administrators (JRC, AUP) and an industry member (Spot Image).
