This report gives an overview of the small combustion installations, i.e. fireplaces, stoves, boilers and combined head and power generators (CHP) which can be used at household or up to district level in order to generate heat, hot water, cooking, etc. Special emphasis is given to the emissions and emission reduction methods for such sources, which are only small in power, but have a high pollution potential. A detailed analysis of the combustion techniques for each source is also included, with link to the relevant emissions.
