dc.description.abstractThis paper presents a simplified method for the capacity design of multi-storey precast concrete frames with hinged beams. A parametric study shows that in the field of ordinary and less flexible structures, the proposed simplified method can be applied with full reliability, in the same way as prescribed by the seismic codes for monolithic cast-in-situ structures. Moreover, the displacement ductility capacity of a range of multi-storey precast concrete structures designed according to the proposed method is investigated.en_GB
