Abstract: SINCE 3 YEARS THE DCS LUXEMBOURG IS USING THE MASS SPECTROMETRY TECHNIQUE IN A MOBILE VERSION FOR THE IN-FIELD VERIFICATION OF UF6 ENRICHMENT. EVEN WITH THE SEVERE CONDITIONS THE TRANSPORTABLE MASS SPECTROMETER IS EXPOSED TO, THE RESULTS OBTAINED REMAIN PRECISE AND ACCU- RATE ONLY A LIMITED NUMBER OF STANDARD REFERENCE MATERIALS ARE USED TO OBTAIN RESULTS ACCEPTABLE FOR SAFEGUARDS PURPOSES, EVEN IF A SLIGHT BIAS EXISTS DUE TO THE DIFFERENCE IN 235U CONTENT BETWEEN THE ANALYSED SAMPLES AND THE STANDARD. THE EXPERIENCE GAINED AND THE RESULTS OBTAINED DURING INSPECTIONS IN DIFFERENT ENRICHMENT PLANTS ARE PRESENTED AND DISCUSSED.
