Project H-22: Synthesis and Hydrogen Sorption Characterisation of Magnesium-Rich Compounds with Transition Metals
The main focus of our efforts in 2008, under this IEA HIA Task 22 project, was the investigation of new ternary compounds in the Y-Mg-Ga and Mg-Y-Ti systems. The research activity included synthesis of the compounds, and subsequently micro- and macro-scopic characterizations, making use of the material production and crystallographic characterisation facilities at the Uppsala University and of the hydrogen sorption instruments and microstructural analysis services at JRC.
