L'Assorbimento dei Gas Serra: Come Suoli e Foreste Possono Aiutarci
The chapter summarizes the final results obtained in the frame of the "Progetto Kyoto Lombardia" (www.kyotolombardia.org) within the research line on terrestrial greenhosue gases, which was co-ordinated by G. Seufert of JRC-IES-H02 as a collaboration of six Institutions: JRC-IES (coordination, GHG budget of land uses, regional scaling), Universtiy Milano Bicocca (remote sensing, bioegeochemical modelling), Tuscia University, Viterbo (agroforestry, mountain areas), Bresciqa University (Interactions of carbon cycle with ozone), ERSAF Lombardia (inventory of biomass and carbon in soils, forests, crops), University of Padova (cost estimates of agroforestry options). The project was financed by Regione Lombardia for three years 2005-2008 with a total 1.6 ME and covered the research lines on climatology, emissions, terrestrial greenhouse gases, impacts, and scanarios & policies.
