Preface to the book 'Technologies for the Processing and Retrieval of Semi-Structured Documents'.
The edited book contains a number of chapters on the automatic indexing of texts using controlled vocabularies such as the Eurovoc thesaurus, as well as chapters on technologies underlying this application. My contribution is the preface to this book.
