Residual Stress Analysis by Monochromatic High-Energy X-rays
Different angle dispersive setups and techniques for the determination of bulk residual stresses of kind I, II, and III are presented. All setups are based on the use of monochromatic high-energy synchrotron radiation. In particular, techniques to achieve three dimensional spatial resolution are discussed and illustrated with examples. A comparison matrix compiling the capabilities and applications of the different techniques is presented in the last section of this chapter.
