Study of Thermodynamic Properties of Pu-Al alloys in Eutectic LiCl-KCl
In this work some thermodynamic properties of Pu-Al alloys have been investigated. The alloys are formed on a solid Al electrode during Puelectrodeposition in molten LiCl-KCl eutectic. The Pu-Al alloy properties were studied in the temperture range of 673 - 723 K by electrochemical techniques. Open circuit potential measurements, after small depositions of Pu metal onto the Al were used to identify the different Pu-Al alloys and to determine their thermodynamic properties (¿ G, ¿ H and ¿ S) by an e.m.f. method.
