ENERGY OF THE ORDERING RATE, AFTER QUENCHING FROM 250 DEGREES C IN WATER. USING 17.65 MEV PROTONS ARE REPORTED AND COMPARED WITH RESULTS OBTAINED FOR 2 MEV ELECTRONS. RESULTS OF ELECTRON IRRADIATIONS OBTAINED FOR 0.05 AND 0.10 MM THICK SPECIMENS ARE COMPARED. IT IS FOUND THAT THE DIFFUSION RATES INCREASE CONSIDERABLY IN THE PRESENCE OF DISLOCATIONS AND THAT THE DIFFUSION RATES DECREASE FOR VERY LOW ELECTRON FLUXES AND HIGH IRRADIATION TEMPERATURES IN THE 0.050 MM THICK SPECIMENS IN COMPARISON TO THE RATES OBTAINED IN 0.10 MM SPECIMENS. A VALUE OF 0.95 EV WAS DETERMINED FOR THE ACTIVATION ENERGY OF THE ORDERING RATE, AFTER QUENCHING FROM 250 DEGREES C. IN WATER. THIS WAS ATTRIBUTED TO THE MIGRATION ACTIVATION ENERGY OF VACANCIES.
