Soil Information and Education for a Sustainable Management: The Soil Atlas of Africa
The Soil Atlas of Africa is an initiative of the European Commission, Joint Research Center, in collaboration with the African Union Commission, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Africa Soil Science Society, ISRIC ¿ World Soil Information and scientists from both Europe and Africa to support the sustainable use of soil in the African continent. A brief overview of the purpose, content and output of the Atlas is presented.
