The Certification of the Mass Fractions of Proximates and Essential Elements in Lyophilised Pork Muscle (ERM®-BB384)
This report describes the preparation of the lyophilised pork musscle matrix reference material ERM-BB384 and the certification of the contents (mass fractions) of three proximates and four essential elements. All results are expressed as a mass fraction on a dry mass basis. The preparation and processing of the materials, homogeneity studies, stabillity studies and characterisation are described hereafter ant the results are discussed. Uncertainties were calculated in compliance wiht the Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM) and include uncertainties due to possible heterogeneity, instability and from characterisation.
