Deuteron-inducednuclearreactionsforgenerationof no-carrier-added Lu radionuclideswere
investigatedusingthestacked-foilactivationtechniqueonnaturalYbtargetsatenergiesupto
Ed¼18.18MeV.Excitationfunctionsofthereactions natYb(d,xn)169,170,171,172,173,174g,174m,176m,177gLu and
natYb(d,pxn)169,175,177Yb havebeenmeasured,amongthemthree(169Lu, 174mLu and 176mLu) are
reportedforthefirsttime.Theupperlimitofthecontaminationfromthelong-livedmetastablelevel
177mLu wasevaluatedtoo.Thick-targetyieldsforallinvestigatedradionuclidesarecalculated.
