SOLID PHASE EXTRACTION OF 4 INDIVIDUAL ISOMERS OF PCBS FROM WATER WAS EVALUATED USING A LC-18 CARTRIDGE PACKED WITH OCTADECYLDIMETHYLSILYL. THE RECOVERY EFFICIENCY WAS INVESTIGATED IN THE PCB CONCENTRATION RANGE OF 0.15 TO 5.4 PPB. PCBS ARE QUANTITATIVELY ADSORBED IN THIS PHASE. GOOD PERFORMANFE WAS OBTAINED IN THE LOWER CONCENTRATION RANGE WITH A MEAN RECOVERY PERCENTAGE OF GREATER THAN 90. THE EASY USE OF THIS EXTRACTION METHODS MAKES IT VERY USEFUL IN ROUTINE LABORATORY WORK.
