The European Code of practice for Small Punch Testing - where do we go from here?
This paper serves the purpose of firstly refreshing readers¿ minds concerning the key aspects of CWA 15627 "Small Punch Test Method for Metallic Materials" and secondly of pointing out the work which should have been done in the last 3 or 4 years in order to strengthen the Code of Practice for Small Punch Creep testing and the Code of Practice for Small Punch Testing for Tensile and Fracture Behaviour in the eyes of the eventual users of the method, namely the plant operators and designers.
