THE 137-CS MEASUREMENTS OF MANY WHEAT SAMPLES CULTIVATED IN THE PO PLAIN DURING 1986 AND 1987 ARE REPORTED. A RELATIONSHIP WAS ALSO BETWEEN THE QUANTITY OF 137-CS CONTAINED IN TOTAL FALLOUT AND THAT IN THE WHEAT BY DIRECT DEPOSITION.
