Statistical analysis of anisotropic rotation-invariant textural measurements of human settlements from multitemporal SAR data

cover
In this paper a change detection analysis of a multitemporal SAR sequence is presented. The study has been performed through the statistical analysis of an anisotropic rotation-invariant built up presence index over time. The index has been calculated over a multitemporal series of ERS-2 and Envisat ASAR scenes acquired between 1997 and 2009. The analysis has been performed by statistically comparing the BU values of each date to the reference image acquired in 1997 in order to identify the changes of the city over the years.
