Simulation of laminated glass loaded by air blast waves
In this paper, several different material models are used to analyze and to compare the
behaviour of laminated glass subjected to blast loads. LS-DYNA and EUROPLEXUS are used as
numerical codes with their different capabilities to describe the failure behaviour. The results of the
simulations are compared to actual free field experimental results in order to validate the accuracy
of the material model. It can be shown that the choice of the material model, its parameters and the
simulation model results in different deflection behaviours.
