MARS Bulletin Vol.19 No.4 - Crop Atlas maps & Yield forecast
We currently forecast a total cereal production of 274,5 Mt with an average yield for total cereals of 5.1 t/ha. The forecast production is slightly below the 5 year average but above the production of last year’s campaign. In northern and central Europe mainly at this stage in the season the trend is used whereas for the countries around the Mediterranean and the Black Sea area first forecasts are built using the model results from the crop growth model.
