Comment on “Properties of 26Mg and 26Si in the sd shell model and the determination of the 25Al(p, gamma)26Si reaction rate”
A recent discussion of theoretical work on the 25Al(p,gamma)26Si astrophysical reaction rate [W.A. Richter, B. Alex Brown, A. Signoracci and M. Wiescher, Phys. Rev. C 83, 065803 (2011)] omits some current and relevant experimental information in forming its scientific conclusions. Accounting for this new information has the potential to significantly alter the reaction rate derived in the paper.
