eGov Europeo in tempo di crisi. La montagna partorirà un topolino (high-tech)?

This is a short article contribution to the Online magazine FORUM PA, addressed to Public Sector officials and providers in Italy - http://portal.forumpa.it/. The article provide an overview of the recent EU Ministerial Conference on eGovernment (Poznan, Poland, 17-18 November 2011) highlighting the main issues discussed emphasising the role played by the JRC IPTS in contributing to the organisation of the Session on The Future of eGovernment and the presentation made by the Head of Unit on "Digital Governance Tomorrow: Extrapolation or Discontinuity? Establishing a Dialogue on Identity and Behaviours in a Digital Society" which outlined the scenarios on ICT for future governance and policy modelling for Europe at the horizon 2030 designed as part of the FP7 project CROSSROAD. This is complemented by personal; reflections and thoughts on the potential of social media for governance in relation to citizens' engagement and participation in the future digital society.
