The ESARDA Working Group on Containment and Surveillance Activities in 2010
The ESARDA Working Group on Containment and Surveillance has 18 members and observers from R&D establishments, safeguards equipment manufacturers, safeguards inspectorates, plant operators, regulatory agencies, and ministries. In 2010, the following topics were addressed:(a) Data Security: impact in C/S instruments, methods and approaches; (b) Interface between Safeguards and Security; (c) Containment and Surveillance for Final Disposal Facilities; (d) EURATOM Requirements for C/S systems under Integrated Safeguards; (e) IAEA’s Next Generation Surveillance System; (f) Enhanced Data Authentication System (EDAS) – report from demonstration workshop; (f) Caladiom: Intelligent Camera Technology; (g) Remotely Monitored Seal Array and (h) Reflections on the results of the INMM – ORNL C/S
Workshop (Oak Ridge, June 2010). The report details the structure of the CS Working Group, presents some discussion highlights and lists the topics to be discussed in 2011.
