The quantitative analysis and assessment of agricultural, rural development and related policies (e.g. trade, energy, environment, and climate change) is an important contribution to the policy-making process in these areas.
To guarantee a timely, confidential, tailor-made and scientifically-sound support, a modelling platform at Commission’s premises has been built up including main partial equilibrium models (AGLINK, CAPRI, ESIM, AGMEMOD) and general equilibrium models (GLOBE, GTAP).
Within iMAP it is possible to analyse similar policy questions with different tools, which allows the comparison of results in order to substantiate the findings. This process provides feedback which can be used for the benefit of the future development of models.
