Abstract: Heating in air at 625°C a Th0.80Am0.20O2-x sample in air at 625°C leads to his full oxidation to stoichiometric oxide. The O/M ratio of a Th0.80Am0.20O2-x sintered in moisturized Ar-H2 is equal to 1.90. More importantly, an excellent agreement was observed between the values obtained by thermogravimetry, by conventional weight measurement and by XANES.
