This event was organised in the framework of the European Commission (EC) support project to the African Union/NEPAD Networks of Water Centres of Excellence implemented by the EC Joint Research Centre (JRC). Experts from Europe, China, Africa and Latin America were invited to the conference, which was held at the Joint Research Centre in Ispra (Italy) the 15-18 October 2012, in order to exchange their experiences and share lessons learned in water resources management. These proceedings represent the exchange and dissemination of good practices across four different regions, shading some light on the issues addressed and proposing common possible solutions towards the sustainable management of our water resources.
