The Evolution of INSPIRE
The question therefore is not so much if INSPIRE should evolve, but rather how changing technologies and evolving policy requirements can be accommodated - allowing at the same time for enough stability in order to protect investments made for INSPIRE's implementation. This aim of this article is to highlight a few activities that we anticipate will influence the evolution of INSPIRE, showing how new requirements from thematic policies can inform the evolution of INSPIRE.
