DCF Fishing Effort Regimes Data Call 2013: Coverage Report
The purpose of this report is to evaluate the data submitted by the Member States in response to the official data call on Fishing Effort Regimes as released by DG MARE. The data submitted to JRC were used by the Scientific, Economic and Technical Committee for Fisheries (STECF) and the experts on the Expert Working Groups (EWGs) 13-06 and 13-13 in order to produce two reports on Evaluation of Fishing Effort Regimes in European Waters.
The data was requested under the framework of the Data Collection Regulation (DCR); cf. Council regulation (European Commission (EC) No 199/2008 of 25th February 2008). However, the definitions of this data call can be considered in excess of the DCF provisions in agreement with Member States to cover the needs for management advice apropriately.
