SETIS Magazine: Nuclear fission
The SETIS magazine aims at delivering timely information and analysis on the state of play of energy technologies, related research and innovation efforts in support of the implementation of the European Strategic Energy Technology Plan.
The editorial for the Nuclear Fission issue is provided by SNETP Governing Board Chairman František Pazdera.
This issue also hosts interviews by:
• Lorenzo Malerba - EERA Joint Programme on Nuclear Materials Programme Coordinator
• Richard Ivens - FORATOM Director of Institutional Affairs
As well as contributions by three EC services on ongoing work:
• DG ENER offers an analysis of the possible socio-economic role of nuclear energy in the EU in 2020-2050;
• DG RTD reflects on the scientific and political challenges in Euratom nuclear fission research;
• and DG JRC reports on the activities of the European Clearinghouse for Operational Experience Feedback.
