Editorial

Welcome to the special RESS issue devoted to sensitivity analysis (SA). This special issue contains ten articles which encompass content from presentations given at the international conference on Sensitivity Analysis of Model Output, held in Nice (France) in July 2013. The conference organizing committee received abstract submissions, and following a double blind reviewing process, abstracts were accepted for presentation at the conference. After the conference, all authors wishing to submit manuscripts for this special issue had the opportunity to write full papers with their research results and submit them. A further round of the blind review process (in some cases two), and an additional review by the Guest Editors, resulted in the selection of ten articles for this special issue. This process represents the highest standard of academic review.
