The paper reports on indoor spectral irradiance measurements and their impact on the spectral mismatch uncertainties in the indoor characterization of multi-junction photovoltaic (PV) devices for concentrating and space PV applications. Twelve laboratories and a commercial partner with their own instruments were involved. An AM0 Xe lamp solar simulator was measured with all the measurement systems involved, both fast fixed- and slow-rotating- grating spectroradiometers. The relative deviations of the measured spectra with respect to the measurement from a reference instrument are reported and the possible impact on spectral mismatch correction of a 3-junction device are discussed.
