The evolution of Intelligent Transport System (ITS) applications and technologies for law enforcement and public safety
The term Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) refers to the application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for road transportation to support and enhance various applications. In this book chapter, we focus on the ITS applications and technologies which can support law enforcer’s capabilities. More specifically, we investigate how wireless communication technologies for Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) communication and Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I) communication can be used to support law enforcers operational activities.
