Securing the Internet of Things - Security and Privacy in a Hyperconnected World
The aim of this chapter is to discuss the challenges for security and privacy in a hyperconnected world where humans are assisted by machines
and technology, but not watched by or through them. Starting from the need to adopt the essence of “security and privacy by design”, we discuss why there is a need to embed security mechanisms in a system from the conceptual phase through the design process to ensure a maximum level of data protection and to guarantee end-to-end security.
