Abstract: The SETIS magazine aims at delivering timely information and analysis on the state of play of energy technologies, related research and innovation efforts in support of the implementation of the European Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET-Plan).The current issue is dedicated to Fuel Cells and Hydrogen. The editorial for the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen issue is provided by Fuel Cells and Hydrogen JU Executive Director Bert de Colvenaer. This issue also hosts interviews by: • Pierre-Etienne Franc – Chair of the FCH JU NEW Industry Grouping • Paul Lucchese – N.ERGHY Research Grouping Chair • Frank Meijer – Head of Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles, Hyundai Motor Europe GmbH • Thomas Jordan – Head of the Hydrogen Safety Working Group, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology Contributions by EC services on ongoing work In this issue, the article from Directorate General Research & Innovation discusses Fuel Cells and Hydrogen as part of the paradigm shift. In addition, JRC IET Energy Conversion and Storage Technologies unit offer an overview of the state of the art in storage technology, and look back at 10 years of JRC activities on Fuel Cells and Hydrogen.
