dc.description.abstractExperiments performed on AmFe2 have demonstrated that magnetic dipole term of actinide materials can be determined by x-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) together with the spin and orbital magnetic moments. Accessing this information with a single experiment will help researchers solve the long-standing problem of modelling the complex electronic structure of the actinides.en_GB
