Abstract: The Energy Efficiency Directive, in its Articles 9 to 11 focuses on the availability of accurate, up to date information to be provided to final energy consumers in a cost-effective way. The present study proposes a literature review on existing studies regarding energy feedback systems, having in consideration the type of feedback, its duration, the geographical area where these have been performed and the correlation from these with the type of energy carrier being used by the final consumers. The main objective of this report is to provide evidence of the effectiveness of direct and indirect feedback and what the potential savings depending on type of media chosen for the interaction with the costumers may reach.
