Large areas face challenging start to the season
Since the start to the season, winter crop areas in several parts of Europe have been negatively impacted by unfavourable weather conditions. In the north, the most severely affected fields are expected to be resown with spring or summer crops. In the south, the impacts are mainly reflected in a reduced yield potential.
As it is still early in the season, the crop yield forecasts reported in this edition of the Bulletin are – with a few exceptions - based on historical trends.
