The first five years
The European Commission's Joint Research Center (JRC) offers leading researchers from across Europe and beyond access to its world-class facilities and laboratories, enabling cutting-edge experimental research, collaboration and capacity building with a European dimension. This is done through the JRC's Open Access to Research Infrastructures programme.
The program provided access to more than 500 users to conduct research on JRC research infrastructures and to more than 130 users to build capacity on JRC research equipment through more than 150 consortium agreements over five years. The program contributes to new collaboration, new ideas and results as an enabler of innovation for the JRC.
